Constant self-control is exhausting, and by no means a natural state. Are we really designed to count calories and fight our appetite? Why is it so hard to suppress the desire to eat? Many of us know exactly what would be a healthier, more mindful decision in our lives, yet we don’t always choose it. From a psychological perspective, lifestyle change is not just a matter of information and willpower. It is deeply connected to how we treat ourselves, what internal dialogues we have, how connected we are to the signals our bodies are sending, and what unconscious patterns guide our decisions.

The role of abnormal biofilm and intestinal barrier in the balance of the microbiome
On stage
schwab-richard (1)
Dr. Richárd Schwab
Moderator
Disruption of the composition of the gut microbiome can lead to the development of abnormal biofilms that make it difficult for beneficial bacteria to thrive. These biofilms can contribute to increased permeability of the intestinal wall, weakening the protective function of the intestinal barrier. A stable and diverse microbiome, on the other hand, supports the integrity of the mucous membrane and helps prevent inflammatory processes.

In Sike Bettina’s presentation, she presents the basics of a whole food plant-based diet in an easy and practical way, along with practical tools that you can incorporate into your daily eating habits from the very next day.

Is it possible to be vegan without properly nourishing your body? Through the lessons of eight years of veganism and Ayurvedic professional experience, Stőhr Gréta shows why it is not enough to simply abandon animal-based foods. She will talk about the role of individual body type, digestive capacity, life situation, and seasons, the possible pitfalls of a full-value vegan diet, critical nutrients, and ultra-processed vegan products. The goal of the presentation is not to discourage veganism, but to develop a more conscious, personalized, and truly nourishing plant-based diet.

The Psychology of Eating Meat
On stage
tobias-leeneart (1)
Tobias Leenaert
Moderator
Few things are harder to think rationally about than meat is. And yet meat – and especially the animal suffering in livestock farming – may well be one of the greatest moral crises of our time. In this talk, Tobias Leenaert outlines the problem, shows how people care about animals while structurally ignoring farm animal issues, and explores the psychological and social mechanisms that keep this tension in place. He also shows which strategies do in fact work to reduce our moral blind spot, and how we can make real progress step by step.

Farming Without Animals – A Blueprint for a Just and Sustainable Food System
On stage
julia weible peta vegán summit
Julia Weibel
Moderator
Animal agriculture is one of the most resource-intensive and inefficient production systems of our time. It threatens the livelihoods of both humans and animals, leads to injustice, environmental degradation and billions of deaths, and—since we have alternatives—can no longer be ethically justified. By adopting a vegan diet, people want to take a stand against this suffering and destruction. However, even the cultivation of fruits and vegetables is linked to animal suffering and exploitation through the use of manure. One solution lies in vegan organic farming. To demonstrate that Germany can become self-sufficient through vegan organic farming and to highlight the benefits this would bring, PETA Germany has published the strategic plan “Phasing Out Livestock Farming.” It provides decision-makers with measures for successfully transitioning to animal-free agriculture – and activists with solid demands for a food system that is just, healthy, and sustainable for everyone.

Our Impact on the World – The overwhelming power of veganism

As the final chord of the day, Vida Raul, founder of Prove and the Vegan Summit, points out the enormous power that the daily decisions of a single person can have. How can we transform ourselves, our immediate environment, and eventually the entire world, if we no longer conform to the usual social patterns but dare to live and speak for others according to our own hearts and values, in the hope of a more ethical world?.

Our visitors said in 2025

One of the main reasons I decided to go is that there has never been such a high-level vegan conference in Hungary before.

The lectures and workshops that were announced seemed very interesting and useful.
The exhibitors stood out; they were super tastemakers. The contents of the welcome bag were extremely exciting.

Everyone was kind and helpful, we chatted with everyone nicely, and we got a lot of information. The lineup of exhibitors was very colorful.
The welcome bag was a bomb, the Sunshine Lunch was brilliant, and we also got to try some very delicious things from the exhibitors!

We almost completely recouped the entrance fee, and even more: gifts, lunch, coffee, a prize game. It is absolutely clear that Prove has completely put the audience in the center of attention.
I really liked that there were topics from all kinds of directions, not just veganism itself, but also lifestyle, the environment, etc.

Each presentation was of high quality, and the topics were also very insightful.
The thing I liked the most about the event was the vegan vibe, the empathy, the attentive, kind people, and the absolutely safe atmosphere.
I hope that the event will grow bigger and bigger. It is the first event where the small 1%-2 group can come together, build relationships, strengthen them, and develop.

It’s incredibly good that someone recognized this. I’m practically in tears; I was so overwhelmed that this happened.
Spectacular organization. Very good exhibitors and interesting discussions and presentations. Super lunch, wonderful gifts.

It was a top-notch venue! Cleanliness, friendly, and pleasant atmosphere - 10 points! :)
All the exhibitors did fantastic work, they were very kind.

I enjoyed the prize draw, but the performances and the round-table discussions had the biggest impact on me.
